Jackpot!

So I recently blogged the Halloween Crypt by Construct, and it was awesome. So now I thought about what I should blog for people, who are still finishing their halloween decorations, and decided to go visit their store, to see what else they have. Jackpot! I love their skeletons, they are so funny and well made.

They also had all kinds of stuff for people who want to decorate homes and businesses with clever and good looking things. For me, having several options for displaying pictures taken in Second Life is great, because I love adding personal touches to my home. My friend found some cool ideas for her upcoming sim design. And I really loved being able to share the "I love you cupcake giver" with another friend. We are so going to visit here a lot from now on!

The Inspiring Black Kite

I love exploring sims like Black Kite, where there is a lot to see, and everything is so visually apealing. This sim is like a work of art. The exciting details, and the way everything works together so well, form an experience, that is both tranquil and inspiring.

From the covenant one can read a little about the reasons for why the sim is kept open for public while it is residential. I recommend reading it as it also contains some important rules. People can rezz poses and such if they join the group and follow the instructions. This is very generous, as the sim is very photogenic and must be very popular among artists and bloggers.

If you want a quiet place to think or somewhere to take a friend for a chat, Black Kite offers several spots for relaxing. They also have a fully stocked café. Shoppers will be pleased, too, as there are a few lovely gachas and some other products available in one of the arbours.

Chapter Four, a pleasant shopping experience

I went to see the Chapter Four sales event as I remembered it usually has quite a good selection. It has been featured in some great blog posts lately as well, such as this one by Nerd Finds, for example.

Having had stores of my own in SL, I am always interested to see, how designers make their vendor images, and how the store design is done.

The Chapter Four shopping skybox is gorgeous, so well designed and put together. The colors, the feel of things, the athmosphere, is lovely. I liked the nicely framed vendor images and the little stages under the displays. This store is designed to make shopping easy and pleasant.

What originally inspired me to take pictures and make a post was the framed image above the display by Moon. It looks like a piece of art that you might see in a gallery, yet the display and the image work well together and the shopper finds all the information they need quickly. I loved seeing that all the displays were done with similar care and knowhow.

For a shopper this place is heaven. I left with a huge pile of items. And there was a lot there for someone wanting to buy gifts as well, especially in the gacha section. I wholeheartedly recommend this shopping experience.
